Accessibility

We are happy to offer accessible flights from our Seaforth farm. Our assist chair has been used for passengers in wheelchairs, those who use walkers, and passengers who have limited knee mobility and find it challenging to use the steps to climb into the plane.

At our Seaforth farm runway we have a ramp leading to an assist chair for those in wheelchairs or with limited mobility. To use the assist chair, the passenger goes up the ramp and sits or transfers to the assist chair. The assist chair is then rolled to right beside the plane and the person self-transfers or transfers with help onto the front seat of the plane. After the flight the reverse is done to disembark.

If you or someone flying with you would like to use the assist chair please add a note in your booking to ensure that we will have a pilot on-site who is able to use the assist chair.

We have a grass parking area a short walk from the plane, if it would be easier for passengers flying from Seaforth to park right beside the plane hangar please let us know. There is a cement pad attached to the hangar the plane is in with room for a vehicle to park at so that passengers step out of their vehicle by the ramp for the assist chair and only a wing’s distance from the plane cabin.

Please note that while our Seaforth location has the assist chair we do not yet have accessible washrooms at our Seaforth (or Lucan) locations. Certain airports we fly from have accessible washrooms with ramps into the building and large washroom stalls (Goderich, Kincardine, Port Elgin, and Wingham).

Each plane carries a small step stool for anyone who requires smaller steps to get into the plane, it only takes us a second to get it out so please ask if you would like it.
